The 17-year-old victim told police she’d gone to meet Marco Druskovich around 9:30 p.m. to buy drugs, Police Chief Michael Foligno said this morning.
After getting into her car, he put a silver semi-automatic handgun to the side of her head and demanded money, she said.
“In an act of desperation, [she] stepped on the gas pedal, rapidly accelerating,” Foligno said.
He then grabbed the wheel and the two struggled. After smashing the three cars, hers stopped, the chief said.

Taking $50, Druskovich fled with an apparent accomplice who the woman said was waiting nearby, he said.
The woman sustained minor injuries, the chief said.
“Elmwood Park officers, along with a Bergen County Sheriff’s officer and his K-9 conducted a comprehensive search of the area but were unable to locate the suspect,” Foligno said.
An arrest warrant was prepared charging Druskovich with 1st-degree armed robbery and two weapons possession counts.
Anyone with information that could help the investigation is asked to contact Elmwood Park police: (201) 796-0700.
Foligno warned that Druskovich “should be considered armed and dangerous.”
