The driver of a Subaru Forester wasn’t injured when the man’s Ford Taurus slammed into her vehicle from behind on Roosevelt Boulevard near the Westbrook Middle School around 2:10 p.m.

The Suburu, which was pushed onto the lawn of a nearby home, sustained heavy damage, however.

School was still in session at Westbrook and no children were in the area during the collision.

Paramus police and EMS personnel responded. A paramedic team took the Taurus driver to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood.

The Subaru was removed from the scene by flatbed tow truck.
