Driver suffers severe arm injury in three-car crash on Route 17 in Paramus

YOU SAW IT HERE FIRST: The crashes continued on southbound Route 17 when three vehicles collided in Paramus this morning, sending one driver to the hospital with what was called a serious arm injury.

The driver of a Nissan Sentra was taken by ambulance to The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood following the 9 a.m. crash near Boston Market.

The Nissan rear-ended a Ford van and in turn was rear-ended itself.

The Nissan had to be removed by flatbed tow truck. The other two vehicles showed minimal damage.

The highway’s left lane was closed for about a half hour, causing extensive delays.

Paramus police and EMS workers responded.
