The southbound motorist told police the ice came from a rig headed north in the area of A&S Drive.

The ice broke the windshield but “it did not appear that the ice penetrated the passenger compartment,” Paramus Deputy Police Chief Robert Guidetti told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.

The girl complained of face pain but her father declined medical treatment at the scene, Guidetti said.

“There is no information on the vehicle that was traveling northbound,” he said. “Paramus Police are still investigating.”
