Moments after reassuring the detective that a runner with 1,300 pills was on the way, 21-year-old Matthew K. Johnson was seen with two other people suspiciously talking with an unidentified couple at the meeting spot in Paramus.

Not wanting to take chances, investigators quickly moved in, and Johnson and the others with him took off, Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli said.

The trio took off and were soon caught. Johnson was carrying the gun, Molinelli said, and Kristina M. Bolognese, 25, had several Percosets on her. Both she and Johnson are from Yonkers. Also arrested was Angelo Tompkins, 22, of the Bronx.

In interviews after they were arrested, investigators “learned that their intention was to commit an armed robbery of the undercover detective for the $5,200,” Molinelli said.

All are charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and illegal weapons charges. Johnson‘s bail s $200,000; Tompkins is $150,000 and Bolognese’s is $75,000.
