No one was home when the Woodland Road fire broke out, responders said.
It traveled up the walls to the attic, leaving the roof intact but leading to major fire, smoke and water damage throughout, they said.
Dumont, River Edge and Oradell firefighters also responded.
All were hampered by a large amount of various items, a responder at the scene told CLIFFVIEW PILOT.
