Christie said he spoke to utility and union officials today and that a worker from Alabama called from Roanoke, Va., and was given bad advice. That person, in turn, spoke to a local news outlet there and the story mushroomed.

Christie, in no uncertain terms, said he would put an end to such nonsense if it happens.
He also said that if the workers are still in Roanoke they are welcome here.
