Virginia Auld, 89, North Bergen Resident

NORTH BERGEN, N.J. – Virginia Auld, of North Bergen, died Sunday, Feb. 14. She was 89.

She was born Nov. 26, 1926, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Joseph and the Freda (Russo) Giambalvo.

Her husband Finley G. Auld died in 2006.

She is survived by her children, Suzanne (Kevin) Hartt, Doretta Auld, Gregory (MaryAnn) Auld, and Douglas Auld; four grandchildren, Bryan Auld, Diana Hartt and her fiancée, Bobby Smillie, Jason Hartt, and Emily Auld.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Feb. 16, from 3-7 p.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 S. Farview Ave., Paramus. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 17, at 9:15 a.m. at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke's Roman Catholic Church, 340 N. Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus. Interment will follow in St. Luke’s Roman Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her name are requested to a charity of one’s choice.
