ORADELL, N.J. -- Victor A.,Capiaghi a longtime resident of Oradell, passed away peacefully July 21 at the Veterans Home in Paramus at the age of 91.
Capiaghi was a World War II veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps.
He had retired from BMW in Montvale. While in Oradell, Capiaghi was very active member of the Oradell Senior Citizens Club, The Friends of the Oradell Library and several veterans organizations, including the Marine Gooney Birds, The VFW and The American Legion.
His beloved wife Elvira passed away in 2007.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be at 9 a.m. Wednesday at the William G. Basralian Funeral Home, 559 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell, thence to Assumption R.C. Church, 29 Jefferson Ave., Emerson for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus. Visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
