ORADELL, N.J. -- Vera Sarokwash, of Oradell, died on Jan. 22. She was 93.
Before she retired, Sarokwash was a personal assistant of 40 years for the Community Service Society, in New York City.
She also belonged to VFW Post 4290, in Oradell.
Sarokwash was predeceased by her husband, Peter.
Visitation will be 9-10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Rd., in Oradell, followed by a 12:30 p.m. funeral mass at St. Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church, in Jackson. Interment will follow at St. Vladimir's Cemetery, in Jackson.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Life Source Services Hospice, 230 E. Ridgewood Ave. No. 307, Paramus, NJ 07652.
