Thomas Patrick Maloney, 54, Of River Edge

RIVER EDGE, N.J. — Thomas Patrick Maloney, 54, of River Edge, died Wednesday, Sept. 21.

He spent his career working in the food and flavor industry, most recently as an account executive with Synergy Flavors. Throughout his career, he remained a member of the Society of Food Technology.

As a fitness buff, he completed several marathons and would spend countless hours cycling and working out at Retro Fitness. He volunteered his time as a Little League and softball coach with the River Edge Recreation Department. He also was an avid New York Giants and Boston Red Sox fan. He was a dedicated parishioner at St. Peter’s RC Church in River Edge.

He was predeceased by his father, Vincent Maloney.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne; children, Allison and Kevin; mother, Theresa; siblings, Art Maloney (Carol), Robert Maloney, Steven Maloney (Janice) and Maureen Auld (Cliff).

Family and friends are invited to visit from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Friday at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. A funeral procession will depart the funeral home at 11 a.m. for an 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s RC Church, River Edge. All are invited to arrive at 10a.m. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
