Rosina Polifrone, 93, Of Paramus

PARAMUS, N.J. – Rosina Polifrone, a resident of Paramus, died on Wednesday, Jan. 13. She was 93.

Polifrone was employed by the Paramus Police Department as a school crossing guard and prior to retiring, she worked for Stearns in Paramus as a sales clerk. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation RC Church in Paramus where she was a member of the Rosary Society, as well as a member of Paramus Seniors Club #1 and Paramus Fire Co #4 Auxiliary.

She is survived by son Michael Polifrone and his wife Ruth of Paramus; Marie Montelbano of Paramus; and Marianna Paul and her husband Larry of Manalapan. She is also survived by her grandchildren Keith Polifrone, Brian Polifrone, and Rosario Montelbano; and her great grandchildren Sean, Megan and Deanna Polifrone. She also is survived by her sisters Sam Bruzzi, Josephine McEwan, and Frances Ditullio.

She was predeceased by her husband Angelo Polifrone along with Katherine Bruzzi, James Bruzzi, Carmella Hubert and Anthony Bruzzi.

Family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 17 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 113 South Farview Ave., Paramus.

Funeral Service will be held at 9:30 am on Monday, Jan. 18 at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home followed by a 10 a.m. mass at Our Lady of the Visitation R.C. Church, 234 North Farview Ave., Paramus. The cremation is private.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions in memory of Rosina may be made to Valley Hospice, 15 Essex Road, Paramus or in memory of Rosina's husband Angelo E. Polifrone to Hackensack University Medical Center Foundation, Stroke Research, 60 Second St., Hackensack.
