PARAMUS, N.J. -- Ronald J. Chiego, a resident of Paramus, died Thursday, Jan. 28. He was 70.
Chiego was a Marine Corps veteran, serving from 1964-70. He was a computer operator, truck driver and then had a career in retailing at hardware stores in Morris and Union counties from 1983-2011. When he retired, he spent time with his model building and Lionel trains.
He is survived by his brother John and wife Joan of Fair Lawn; and nephew Robert of Fair Lawn.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Julia.
Respecting his wishes, no funeral services or viewing will be conducted.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Bergen Regional Medical Center in Paramus.
