ORADELL, N.J. -- Nancy Monteferrario, 100, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016. Before moving to Boca Raton, Fla. to be with her family, she had been a resident of Oradell since 1952.
She was the wife of the late John Monteferrario (1993); mother of John Monteferrario Jr. and his late wife Sandy (2013); grandmother of Todd Monteferrario and his wife Emma and Tracey Rubenstein and her husband Mark; and great-grandmother of Daniella and Tessa. She also is survived by her brother, William Speciale and his wife Jane; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Josephine Owens; and her brother Joseph Speciale.
Monteferrario was a registered nurse at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn. She also was a longtime member of the Reformed Church of Oradell.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 10 a.m. to noon Friday at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 268 Kinderkamack Road, Oradell. A funeral service in celebration of her life will begin at noon at the funeral home. Interment to follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Harriet Rothkopf Heilbrunn School of Nursing - Long Island University in honor of her service at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn.
