PARAMUS, N.J. -- Joseph Anthony Totten Sr., of Paramus and formerly of Teaneck and Hackensack, died Thursday, Sept. 1. He was 71.
He was born in Emerson to the late James and Alice Totten.
Before retiring, he was a union carpenter for the Northeast Carpenters Union Local 253 in Hackensack.
He was the beloved husband of Jenny (nee Germinario) Totten; devoted father of Joseph Anthony Totten Jr. and his wife Patti and James Edward Totten and his wife Joyce; dear brother of James Blauvelt and Rose Higby; and loving grandfather of James J. Totten, Jocelyn J. Totten, Calvin P. Totten, Julia J. Totten and Trevor O. Totten.
Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday and 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at Costa Memorial Home, Boulevard and Central Avenue, Hasbrouck Heights. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Lung Association 1600 Route 22, East Union, NJ 07083 would be appreciated.
