Barbara Jane Williams, 87, Of Paramus

PARAMUS, N.J. -- Barbara Jane Williams (nee Manning), 87, of Paramus, passed away peacefully with her family in her home after a long battle with cancer Sunday, June 19, 2016. 

She was the wife of 60 years of John Nelson Williams; mother of James Williams; sister of Patricia Hall; and aunt of Suzanne Dobson, the late Henry Dobson, John Dobson, Douglas Hall, Emma Hall and Dylan Hall. 

She was predeceased by her parents James Manning and Addrien Manning of Midland Park. She was born in Paterson and grew up in Hawthorne and then Midland Park. She attended Pompton High School and the Barbizon Modeling School. 

She had several secretarial jobs and later worked at the Paterson Evening News, the Ridgewood News and then finally Lont and Overcamp. 

Williams was an optimist who loved the beach and traveling. She had an interest in fashion and enjoyed social events. She loved reading and having conversations with everyone. She loved animals, particularly her own pets, her “doggies.”
