Alice Russiello, 96, Paramus Resident

PARAMUS, N.J. --  Alice Russiello, of Paramus, died on Thursday, Jan. 12. She was 96.

Before she retired, Russiello was an audiovisual aide for Paramus High School. She was a member of the Paramus Seniors Club, a parishioner of Our Lady of the Visitation and an active member of the Paramus Democratic Club.

She was a talented Italian chef and an excellent seamstress. "She was also a lifelong self-taught artist whose paintings are cherished by all who see them," information from the funeral home noted. "She dedicated her life to her family."

Russiello is survived by her children, William "Bill" Russiello and his wife Ann, and Richard Russiello and his wife Mary Ann; grandchildren Erik and Ian; and great-grandchildren Alex, Emily, Nate and Abby.

She is predeceased by her husband, Nicholas Russiello.

A funeral service was held on Wednesday morning, Jan. 18, at the Vander Plaat Memorial Home, in Paramus, followed by funeral mass at Our Lady of the Visitation. Cremation was private.
