LoSacco's shops in Paramus, Emerson, East Brunswick and Valhalla, N.Y. have all been shut down. His remaining store operates in East Hanover.

The East Hanover location was subject to a police investigation after the NJSPCA received a tip that LoSacco had been transporting almost 100 dogs between states without medical clearance, the article says.

An NJSPA police officer saw LoSacco take 34 dogs from the van into his store, according to NewJerseyHills.com
