12 Health Companies Interested In Running Bergen Regional Paramus

PARAMUS, N.J. --  Five non-profit healthcare organizations formed a coalition and is one of a dozen entities interested in running a Paramus hospital, reports northjersey.com.

Englewood Hospital and Medical Center, Hackensack University Medical Center, Holy Name Medical Center in Teaneck, Valley Health System in Ridgewood and Christian Health Care Center in Wyckoff all responded as a group to Bergen County's Request for Qualifications to run Bergen Regional Medical Center, the state's largest hospital, reports northjersey.com.

The current contract held by Bergen Regional Medical Center LP expires in March 2017, reports northjersey.com.

Bergen Regional has come under increased scrutiny from county and state lawmakers and the county says the current contract makes oversight difficult, reports northjersey.com.

A formal Request for Bids will go out in mid-July, reports northjersey.com.
