The parties will run from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Dec. 5 for girls in kindergarten through grade 3.

The $27 fee includes painting supplies, a canvas, refreshments, the program activity and year-long membership in Girl Scouts for girls. Adults are free. Cash, check or credit cards accepted. Each girl must be accompanied by an adult.

Each child and adult duo can either keep the painting or leave it for donation as a holiday gift to a nearby nursing home.

“Many people think that you can only join Girl Scouts in the fall at the start of the school year,” Betty Garger, President and CEO of Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey said in a statement. “New troops form all year long, so any girl can join Girl Scouts at any time of year. Of course, we also welcome adult volunteers who want to lead or support girls in troops.”

Painting parties will be held at:

  • Girl Scouts of Northern New Jersey’s Paramus Service Center, 300 Forest Ave.
  • Clifton Memorial Library, Community Room A, 292 Paiget Ave.

RSVP to Gigi Mauder at gmauder@gsnnj.org or (973) 248-8200 to guarantee a spot. Walk-ins will be welcome on a first come, first served basis. Please indicate the location of your choice.
