The heaviest rain is expected Friday night, April 11 into the overnight hours of Saturday morning, April 12. Some areas could see urban flooding.
The combination of rain and snow in elevated areas of upstate New York, northern New Jersey and Pennsylvania, and northern New England, shown in pink in the first image above, may lead to slippery roadways and reduced visibility and light accumulations of an inch or less of snow.

"It looks like a general 1-2 inches of rain will fall on much of the Northeast with some places picking up 3 inches," said AccuWeather Senior Meteorologist Dave Dombek. "The heaviest amounts will extend roughly from Virginia to southern New England."
Precipitation will continue at times through around midday on Saturday, April 12, which will be cloudy and raw.
