The Frolic will be held on Saturday, July 16, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at Steuben House at Historic New Bridge Landing. It is located at 1209 Main St. in River Edge. General admission: $15 and $12 for historical society members.

Denise Piccino and the Tricorne Dancers will offer instruction, with music by Anne and Ridley Enslow. All dances will be taught with instruction on basic steps and movements provided prior to the start of the dance.

Colonial and Early American dress is encouraged, but not required. Calico garb is a cotton fabric with a small, all-over floral print. It is an inexpensive fabric and was a favorite textile among women the mid-1800s.
