The Hopes and Dreams for Children Foundation will hold its seventh-annual beefsteak dinner Tuesday, Nov. 17 at The Brownstone. The event will help cover the costs of a van the group recently purchased for Children's Aid and Family Services.

Leo P. McGuire, the organization's president and former Bergen County sheriff, said Hopes and Dreams donates to less fortunate and disabled children in Bergen and Passaic counties.

"We're very proud of our how we're supporting the community," he told Daily Voice, "and the most vulnerable within our community are children."McGuire's was sheriff when he and a group of golf buddies created Hopes and Dreams.

The foundation hopes to raise at least $25,000 at the dinner, McGuire said. All of the proceeds go to charity.

The Brownstone has always been a "terrific" host, he continued.

Tickets cost $85 for one person or $750 for a table of 10.
