The festival combines a 4-H and master gardener fair with a craft fair, and adds in food, bands and other activities, just for good measure.
"The 4-H and master gardener fair is the highlight of the 4-H year," Bergen County 4-H Program Associate Abbie Kesely told Daily Voice. "It serves as a showcase for all that the 4-H'ers have accomplished this past year.
"It's an opportunity to celebrate fall in Bergen County with many exhibits, demonstrations, gardening tips and advice, hands on activities and entertainment," Kesely continued. "It's fun for everyone!"
The festival also features carnival rides, animal exhibits, face-painting, pumpkin picking, archery and a farmers market.
On Saturday, the exhibit tents, craft fair and live entertainment will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and the carnival rides will run from noon until 10 p.m. On Sunday, the exhibits and such will be open from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., and the rides will run from noon until 6 p.m.
Admission and parking are free, and the event benefits the Bergen County 4-H.
The festival will be at Van Saun County Park 216 Forest Ave., in Paramus, and it's sponsored by the Bergen County Parks Department, New Jersey Extension Service, 4-H and the Craftique.
