Oradell Woman's Club Honors Longtime Members

ORADELL, N.J. -- The Book and Needle Woman’s Club of Oradell recently honored Susan Castaldi and Janet George for 25 years of service in the club.

Castaldi and George both joined the club in 1991. Castaldi had the position of chair for the Community Improvement Program for four years and was chair for the yearbook for two years.

She currently is a member of the Art, Performing Music and is the chair for the Hospitality committee. Castaldi volunteers for several local nonprofit organizations, including Meals on Wheels in which she has been delivering meals for 22 years. She had the position of Service Unit Chairmen of the Girl Scouts and was part of the capital campaign for the Oradell Library Renovation. 

Castaldi and her husband, Andy, have three children and have been residents of Oradell for 45 years. She is a 30-year veteran in the real estate industry. 

George follows in the footsteps of her mother, who was a longtime member of the Book and Needle Woman’s Club. George has been an active member of the club. 

She had the positions of Social Service Chair, treasurer, president, federation secretary, 1st VP chair finance and yearbook. She also participated in the Drama and International Departments. George currently is an honorary member of the club. 

George and her husband, Jack, have been longtime residents of Oradell.
