The Land/Air/Sea/Robotics Academy Camp is a one-week hands-on discovery adventure for teens from 12 to 15 years old. Participants will explore the science behind the robotics that are quickly becoming a part of our everyday lives.

Unmanned Autonomous Systems --or UASs -- are versatile machines able to maneuver in diverse, and sometimes dangerous, environments. Equipped with sensors, a UAS can go into the heart of a storm to monitor threats to human lives and property, or travel through remote areas to gather data.

Campers will work in teams, designing and carrying out a variety of missions with various moving robotic vehicles while learning about the physics of flight. Beginners are welcome.

The first session is July 11-15, with a second run August 1-5. The fee for the five-session class is $450. The full kids and teens summer catalog is here, and the info for these sessions is on pages 11 and 25. You register for any of these sessions here.

The camp is offered through the college's Division of Continuing Education, Corporate and Public Sector Training.
