A French woman on a diplomatic mission to Hiroshima and a local Japanese man fall in love over a series of “conversations” about memory and forgetfulness.
The IFC meets the fourth Monday of each month at 7 p.m. in the North Reading Room, and is open to all. The group is modeled on the Morning Book Club and the Evening Book Club, and explores modern classics of film.
Participants are expected to watch the film, which is available in the BCCLS catalog on DVD, before the first discussion.
Contact the library at (201) 262-2613 to inquire about borrowing the movie. For future meetings, you will have an opportunity to help choose the independent, foreign or classic films to be discussed.
