RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- A golf tournament to benefit Habitat Bergen in River Edge includes a chance to cozy up with a Porsche 911.

Registration for golfers begins at 9:30 a.m. with brunch following at 10 a.m.

Golfers can register as individuals or foursomes, and there is a dinner-only option for non-golfers.

Cost includes use of the locker room, range, beverage cart, brunch, dinner and open bar.

There are also sponsorship and ad journal sponsorship opportunities available.

Cost is $1,500 foursome; $375 individual; and $100 dinner only.

The Knickerbocker Country Club is located at 188 Knickerbocker Road, Tenafly.

The goal of Habitat Bergen is to eliminate poverty housing and homelessness by working in partnership with people in need. Using volunteer labor and donated funds and materials, Habitat Bergen builds or rehabilitates simple, decent houses and sells them to low-income families at cost, but with no interest added.

Habitat Bergen is a people-to-people partnership, which joins everyone together regardless of race, nationality, religion, or socioeconomic status. That partnership begins with the homeowner families (partner families).

Habitat Bergen is not a giveaway program, but a joint venture in which those who benefit from the housing ministry are involved in the work at various levels. They help with the construction of their own home, as well as the houses of their neighbors.

Humanity of Bergen County is based at 70 Grand Ave., River Edge.
