Enjoy Shakespeare Under The Stars At River Edge Library

RIVER EDGE, N.J. -- Bring your lawn chair or picnic blanket and enjoy an evening of free live theater as Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" is performed from 7-8:15 p.m. July 15 on the back lawn of the River Edge Public Library.

In the event of rain, the performance will be inside the library at 685 Elm Ave.

The performance is by The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's touring company for early career actors, the Next Stage Ensemble. Written in 1601 or 1602, "Twelfth Night" is one of Shakespeare's most popular comedies.

Shipwrecked on an island far from home, Viola disguises herself as a man and seeks employ in the home of a powerful and love-struck Duke. Mistaken identities, misplaced love and music make this play perfect for a fun summer evening.

The event is co-sponsored by Friends of the River Edge Public Library and the River Edge Cultural Center.
