One of the featured autos will be a 1990 Volkswagon Cabriolet that has been converted in an electric car.

The functioning vehicle was transformed by Ron Grosinger, auto shop teacher at Memorial High School in West New York with the assistance of some of his students. Capable of traveling up to 40 miles on a full charge, the car can reach speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.

Grosinger will be on hand to discuss details of his project.

There will be DJ music, refreshments, vendors and space for new model display cars.

Goody bags, including dash plaques, will be handed to all entrants while photographs are snapped at the gala.

Fifty or so trophies will be awarded in several categories, including the Mayor's Trophy.
