Paramus Black Friday Shoppers Turn Out For Tablets, TVs

PARAMUS, N.J — Shoppers flocked in droves to Best Buy's Garden State Plaza location Thursday evening for a head start on Black Friday deals.

The Amazon Fire Tablet is among the hottest deals this year, according to Money Magazine.

The item normally sells at $50 but was marked at $33 and had bargain hunters lining up as Best Buy's doors opened at 5 p.m.

Other door-busters included a 49-inch LED TV with built-in Chromecast, marked down from $450 to $200, 50% to 60% off select video games and several laptops.

The Garden State Plaza wasn't quite as packed as Best Buy, but Macy's had its fair share of shoppers.

Doors opened at 6 p.m. for upwards of 60% off coats, luggage and vacuums.
