The unvaccinated 28-year-old Grade breed mare experienced depression, front and back ataxia, disorientation, and falling due to Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), the state's department of agriculture said. First NJ Case Of West Nile Virus Detected In Camden County A Camden County resident who tested positive for West Nile virus is the first person in New Jersey to come down with the mosquito-borne illness this year, authorities said. There have been 69 cases in 16 states nationwide with the most in Arizona, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control. Three men tested positive for the virus in Bergen, Morris, and Ocean counties. Two are in their 50s, one is in his 80s, and all were hospitalized.
