Ewing police said they were notified by New Jersey Human Services Police about the missing person. Joseph Michalski, 55, left in an unknown direction from his residential unit at the hospital, police said. Psych Hospital Resident Wanders Off From Facility, Search Launched In South Jersey Police in Trenton were on the lookout for a man who walked away from a psychiatric facility Sunday night and has been missing ever since. NJ Human Services were notified around 10:05 p.m. that Brian Thorne, 48, wandered off from Trenton Psychiatric Hospital around 8:30 p.m. He was at TPH on a non-criminal hold. Thorne is a black male, partially bald, approximately 6’1” and 176 pounds.  On Saturday, a man who wandered off from a North Jersey nursing home was found dead. 5 Deaths, 218 Coronavirus Cases Reported At NJ's State-Run Psychiatric Hospitals New Jersey's four psychiatric hospitals have 218 coronavirus cases including five fatalities, health officials said. The facility hit the hardest is Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, which reported 104 cases -- 81 employees and 23 patients, according to New Jersey health department spokeswoman Dawn Thomas.  One of those people died and 16 are in an acute-case hospital.
