On Monday, May 2, at 9:40 p.m., Stafford police responded to a collision on Route 72 westbound near the Garden State Parkway. Investigation indicated that a 2012 Jeep operated by Ronald Sheehy, 55, of Waretown, was traveling west on Route 72, and transitioning into the far right lane to access the Garden State Parkway north ramp, Stafford police said. At 9:12 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 27, Jackson police officers responded to White Road near the intersection of Whitesville Road for a pedestrian who had been struck and the CPR was in progress. The initial investigation revealed that Sabrina Ben-Porat of Jackson was crossing the roadway when she was struck by a 2015 Dodge Durango being operated by a 22-year-old male resident of Toms River, police said. Man Killed When Pickup Strikes Dirt Bike In South Jersey: Police A 48-year-old man from South Jersey was killed when his dirt bike was struck by a pickup truck, authorities said. On Saturday, Feb. 12 at approximately 6:12 p.m., Vineland police were dispatched to South Delsea Drive and Michael Avenue for a fatal crash involving two vehicles. The preliminary investigation revealed a Kawasaki dirt bike operated by Curtis T. Hansley Sr.,of the 400 block of Park Avenue, Vineland was traveling southbound on South Delsea Drive, police said. Hansley was not utilizing a helmet and the unregistered dirt bike was not equipped with a headlight, police said.  …

Absecon Man Killed Crossing Major Intersection Wasn't In Crosswalk: Police A 50-year-old man died after being struck by a car on White Horse Pike in January, authorities said. Samuel Bayley, of Absecon, was struck while crossing the street by a 2008 Hyundai Tucson heading east at the intersection with Haddon Avenue around 6 p.m., Jan. 24, local police said. Bayley was not in the crosswalk, which was a contributing factor in the crash, authorities said. The roadway was reduced to one lane for approximately four hours while the crash was investigated.
