An MBA fellow at Rowan University has designed an app to enhance the security of students at the Glassboro campus. Siena Rampulla was a victim of an off-campus break-in in March 2022, as reported by Daily Voice. Jorge L. Navaheredia, 29, of Sicklerville, had broken into several women's homes including Rampulla's, according to Glassboro police. He was caught hiding under a kitchen sink with panties, police said. Students at a Jersey Shore high school have been pretending they are assassins as a senior prank, authorities said. But in one case, a "senior assassin" went to the wrong address to shoot another student with a water pistol, according to Holmdel police. UPDATED: A knife-wielding suspect was arrested after an incident outside Sayreville War Memorial High School, authorities said. The suspect is pictured. At 2:18 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 12, Sayreville police responded to the outside of the high school for a report of a student assaulted. Central Jersey School District Forms Commission To Address Sexual Assault, Harassment: Report
Edison school officials plan to form a new commission that would address allegations of sexual assault and harassment, NJ Advance Media reports. The group would comprise 10 to 20 students, parents and school administrators, Superintendent Bernard Bragen told the outlet. Although the district has a process for reporting sexual assault and harassment, the latest system has a goal of advancing it, the outlet reported. The person who wrote racial slurs on the dorm room door of a black student at Rowan University has been charged with harassment and banned from campus, officials said. In this message to the university, Rowan President Ali A. Houshmand said investigators identified two people involved in the incident at Holly Pointe Commons. Authorities in Philadelphia are seeking the public's help in locating a group of at least three people who they say tied up and robbed a St. Joseph's University student at gunpoint, according to 6abc. A Barnegat High School student was stabbed during a bathroom fight early Friday, May 27, authorities said. The school was put in a shelter in place as officials worked to break up the fight at 7:48 a.m., Barnegat police said. The student treated for non-life threatening injuries and an edged weapon was recovered, authorities said.
