Livoti's Old World Market Opening In Brick Township An Italian grocery store known for gourmet meats and other delicacies is opening its first location in Ocean County. Livoti's Old World Market said it will open its newest store in Brick Township on Thursday, Mar. 7. The store will be located in the Laurel Square shopping plaza on Route 88. This will be the fifth market for Livoti's, which started in 2010 with its first store in Aberdeen. The other three markets are in Monmouth County in Freehold, Marlboro, and Middletown. Jonathan Weydig was arrested with the assistance of Point Pleasant police, according to Brick police. Weydig had six outstanding warrants and was charged with eluding officers, obstruction and hindering apprehension, police said. Weydig also was issued 12 motor vehicle summonses, they said. On May 12, Brick Street Crimes Unit detectives were traveling in an unmarked vehicle at Route 88 and Post Road when they observed a road rage incident, police said. …

The detectives made contact with the suspects on Thursday, Nov. 10 at 8 p.m. and K-9 Officer Ray LaPoint responded with his K-9 partner Rebel.  An exterior sniff of the suspects’ vehicles resulted in positive indications for the presence of controlled dangerous substances, police said. Brittany Keifer, 27, took a deal from prosecutors, pleading guilty to leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident resulting in serious bodily harm, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer said.
