Paramus Chick-fil-A Weeks Away From Opening, Mayor Says
The opening of the brand-new Paramus Chick-fil-A is imminent. According to Paramus Mayor Chris DiPiazza, the Chick-fil-A being built alongside the northbound side of Route 17 will open in the first week of May. The fast-casual chicken joint replaces The Fireplace, which closed in July 2021 after 65 years in business. "We’re excited to welcome Chick-fil-A to Route 17," DiPiazza said. TikTok Clip Shows Car Full Of 'Forgotten Baby' Pranksters In Pursuit With Paramus Mall Security
"Drive away, bro." The pranksters who police believe are responsible for a string of "forgotten baby" pranks at Paramus malls have posted footage of their slow-speed pursuit with mall security to TikTok. The video, captioned "catch us if you can," was posted Tuesday, July 4. The Paramus LEAD Carnival is back with new rides and entertainment (scroll down for the schedule). Shoppers at Westfield's Garden State Plaza have another dining option on the restaurant scene. Tojo's Kitchen has opened on the first floor of the mall near the Neiman Marcus entrance. Halloween Store Opening At Former Garden State Plaza Best Buy (And These Other Locations)
A Spirit Halloween store will be opening at the former Best Buy at the Garden State Plaza. The store has not yet announced an opening date and only says "coming soon" on the website. Five Guys To Open At Garden State Plaza Food Court
The food court at Westfield's Garden State Plaza is about to get even better. Five Guys is expected to open in the fall, according to a sign in the mall. Last April, the burger chain closed its Fort Lee location. The mall's food court was recently named the best in New Jersey in a Daily Meal article. No word yet on an opening date.

Sources: Dozens Of Stores To Replace Garden State Plaza JCPenney
Sixty smaller stores are proposed to replace the JCPenney at Westfield's Garden State Plaza in Paramus, sources said Monday. JCPenney announced last year it would be closing up to 140 stores along with two distribution centers while instituting an early retirement program in an effort to increase profits in the era of online shopping.
