Body Recovered From River In Central Jersey: Report A body was recovered from the Raritan River in Central Jersey, NJ Advance Media reported. New Brunswick police and firefighters discovered the unidentified man's body near Boyd Park, around 5 p.m. Monday, Sept. 19, a city official told the outlet. The New Jersey State Police Marine Services Bureau responded to reports of a body found about a mile off the shoreline of Sea Bright (Monmouth County) just before 11:30 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 29. Decomposed Body Found In Abandoned Newark Building A body was found in an abandoned Newark building Wednesday afternoon. Police responded to the 100 block of Rose Street where the unidentified body was found around 3 p.m., Newark Public Safety Director Brian O’Hara said. Unconfirmed reports say workers found the decomposed body in a confined space. Newark firefighters and EMS also responded.  The incident remains under investigation. No further information is available.

Public Awaits ID Of Drowning Victim Pulled From Hudson A man whose body was found floating in the Hudson River off lower Manhattan had yet to be publicly identified on Tuesday. The NYPD Harbor Unit pulled his body from the drink near North Moore Street in Tribeca, across from Jersey City's Harborside section, shortly before 10:30 a.m. Monday. Suspicions followed -- but had yet to be confirmed -- that he was a 68-year-old man who jumped from Pier 45 near Christopher Street during a public dance event and vanished into the river last Tuesday.

Unidentified Man's Body Found In Clifton Garage Fire Authorities were trying to identify a man whose body was found following a garage fire in Clifton. The man's body was found in a car parked in the detached garage behind a 2½-story home at 44 Seger Ave. Wednesday, they said. Firefighters doused the heavily-involved blaze, which was called in at 5:42 p.m.  No other injuries were reported. The cause hadn't officially been determined, Passaic County Prosecutor Camelia M. Valdes, Clifton Police Chief Thomas Rinaldi and Clifton Fire Chief Frank Prezioso said in a brief release. An investigation was continuing.

Belleville police found the unresponsive man possibly in his 30s floating in the river around 7:35 a.m. on Aug. 20, Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II said. The man was pulled onto the embankment by the North Arlington Fire rescue with help from North Arlington firefighters, and pronounced dead at the scene at 8:15 a.m., Stephens said.
