Lodi Police Rescue Resident, 80, Badly Burned In Garden Apartment Fire An 80-year-old resident was taken to St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston with severe burns after two Lodi police officers rescued him from a garden apartment fire Monday afternoon, authorities said.  Officers John Calabrese and David Delia pulled the unconscious victim out on their hands and knees due to all the smoke at the Gardens condos on Terhune Avenue near Marion Pepe Drive across from the Avalon development, Police Chief Donald Scorzetti said. Lodi Police Seek Hit-Run Driver What began as an argument between two drivers in Lodi ended when one had his foot run over by the other's fleeing vehicle, authorities said. The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. Wednesday at Terhune Avenue and Marion Pepe Drive near Lodi Lanes, Lt. Robert Salerno said. Although the license plate of the fleeing SUV came to an East Orange owner, it didn't match any of the vehicle information, he said.
