Off-Duty Trooper Finds 'Human Remains' On I-287 In Middlesex County An off-duty New Jersey state trooper found human remains while driving on I-287 in Middlesex County, authorities said. The discovery was made near Exit 8 in Piscataway on the southbound side of the highway around 3:25 p.m., state police told NJ.com. It is not clear exactly what the trooper found. Car Avoiding Dead Deer Overturns On Route 80 East In Parsippany Traffic backed up on the eastbound side of Route 80 around 12:45 p.m. Wednesday as responders worked to clear a deer carcass and overturned vehicle. The right lane was closed at Exit 43 to I-287 after the car flipped in an attempt to avoid the deceased animal, drivers said. Injuries were unknown and minor delays were being reported. Drivers On 287 In Boonton Give Turtle A Brake As It Crosses Roadway  A slow-walking pedestrian in Boonton briefly backed up traffic during the morning rush hour Wednesday.  Many motorists, however, probably weren't too upset with him (or her), since this pedestrian is greenish, cold-blooded and on four legs.  A large turtle was spotted in the roadway at Exit 44 off I-287 around 8 a.m., State Police confirmed.
