Paul Milo has worked as a reporter in northern New Jersey for more than 20 years, first for North Jersey Media Group / NorthJersey.com, then at Patch.com and at NJ.com / The Star-Ledger. He has written about a 106-year-old World War I veteran, the Sept. 11 attacks and a 15-year-old stock manipulator who was the youngest person ever civilly charged by the Securities and Exchange Commission, among many other stories. He has interviewed governors, presidential candidates and celebrities including Ryan Seacrest and comedian Kevin Hart.

In addition to his work for New Jersey-based outlets, he has also written for BeliefNet, Editor and Publisher, The Huffington Post, The Boston Globe and other publications, as well as freelance assignments for global chemical company BASF.

His first book, Your Flying Car Awaits, was published by HarperCollins in 2010. As part of the book’s promotional efforts he was interviewed by The New York Times and on WNYC radio’s The Brian Lehrer Show

Winning $55K Lottery Tickets Sold In Union, Elizabeth A total of four winning lottery tickets were sold in the Sunday Jersey Cash 5 drawing, and will split a jackpot of $222,348. Each winning ticket pays out $55,587.  The winning tickets were sold at:  Cobblestone Hill Deli, 287 Broad St., Carlstadt; Jersey Food Market LLC., Rt. 516 Circle Manor, Old Bridge; Basic Food Mart, 498 Chestnut St., Union; and  Quick Stop Food Store, 400 Rahway Ave., Elizabeth. Lyndhurst Man Tried To Steal Ambulance In Hoboken: Report A Lyndhurst man was arrested Sunday morning on multiple charges after he jumped into an ambulance at a Hudson County hospital and tried to drive off, according to a published report.  Security called police because Nicholas Soto, 30, refused to leave the waiting room at Hoboken University Medical Center. Worker At Kearny Company Seriously Burned In Accident An employee of a Kearny business was rushed to St. Barnabas Medical Center Monday afternoon after he was burned with molten metal, police said.  The victim, a 37-year-old Elizabeth man, was working at Kearny Smelting & Refining Corp. on Harrison Avenue around 12:45 p.m. when a furnace "burped," splashing liquid metal. The man suffered burns to his hands, feet and buttocks, police said.  The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was notified and is investigating, police also said.

Anthony DeGraw, 33, Lodi Native Leaves Behind Wife And Daughter Anthony DeGraw of Beachwood died Thursday. He was 33 years old.  Born in Wayne, he grew up in Lodi and graduated from Lodi High School in 2005. He met his future wife, Krystal Anderson, in middle school in Lodi. The couple moved to Beachwood in 2017.  He worked as a granite installer,  most recently for Progress Dimensions in South Toms River.
