The following events will help celebrate reading, in honor of Dr. Seuss.

Wacky Wednesday -- Wednesday, Feb. 17 -- Everyone should wear something wacky -- though still within dress code. So no PJs, robes or slippers, for example; students wearing these will be sent home.

Suggested possibilities include shirts worn inside out, holiday shirts, mismatched shoes or socks, et cetera.

Oh, the Places You'll Go Day -- Thursday, Feb. 18 -- Folks are encouraged to wear something that represents a place they have visited or hope to visit someday -- or wear a shirt with something appropriate for others to read during the day.

Dr. Seuss Day -- Friday, Feb. 19 — Parents are invited to an assembly from 2-2:30 p.m. for kindergarten through fourth-grade students.

Cat in the Hat hats are still available for purchase from the Wanaque School Library/Mrs. Horst for $5.
