FBI issues statewide alert for violent NJ bank robber

HAVE YOU SEEN THIS MAN? The FBI’s Newark Division this morning issued a statewide alert for a gunman who held up a Central Jersey bank. Investigators suspect the robber, who hit the PNC Bank branch on Route 9 South in Howell on Saturday, is the same one who has assaulted several people during a robbery spree of various businesses.

His demand note on Saturday included a threat that “became more imminent when the robber verbalized this threat and displayed a handgun believed to be a black revolver,” the FBI said.

He’s in his 30s to 40s, about six feet tall and stocky, and clean-shaven with chin hair.

On Saturday, he work a dark, knit cap, a dark-colored jacket with a white collared shirt underneath,  and a black glove with some type of writing on it.

The FBI offers rewards for INFORMATION that leads to the capture and prosecution of bank robbers. So, under no circumstances, should you try to be a hero if you see him: Simply dial 911 immediately.
