Michael and Annabel Accardi opened Artastic! Art Academy last December on Wanaque Avenue.

All they want is to share their passion.

“We enjoy teaching art to people, especially kids who are inspired to become better artists and adults who want to be better,” Michael Accardi told Daily Voice. “But also people who have never tried art before.”

The Accardis will help art students compile a portfolio but can also help a retired senior fill up an otherwise empty day.

The academy boasts a ceramics studio with open hours, painting parties for children and adults, handbuilding clay sessions and more.

The couple just launched a 12-week summer camp for children in grades Kindergarten through 8. Each week has a different concentration. One week it might be stop-motion animation and another it might be robot-building.

“We do everything that has to do with art,” Accardi said.
