Belleville Man Shoots Paterson Resident During Online-Arranged Meeting, Authorities Say A Belleville man was charged with attempted murder in the broad-daylight shooting of a Paterson resident. Daniel Jimenez, 37, was identified as the gunman who shot the unsuspecting 26-year-old victim near the corner of East 28th Street and 7th Avenue in Paterson around 2 p.m July 26 after arranging the meeting online for some type of purchase, they said. Police arrived to find the victim gone – he’d been taken to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in a private vehicle. Woman Fatally Struck By Vehicle In Belleville Identified The Essex County Prosecutor's Office has identified the woman killed Monday night in Belleville when she was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street.  Nora Hernandez, a 56-year-old Newark resident, was hit around 6:37 p.m.  as she was crossing Washington Avenue near Mill Street. She was hit by a 2017 Jeep Cherokee and the driver remained at the scene, the prosecutor's office also said.  Hernandez was taken to Clara Maass Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead at 7:20 p.m.  She is survived by her children, Michael, 27, and Daniella, 18, and her husband, …
