Wires Left Draping Over Tractor Trailer, Cars In East Rutherford Crash A tractor-trailer caused major damage and danger Monday morning, Nov. 4 in East Rutherford.  According to the fire department, the vehicle struck a pole at Paterson Avenue and Herman Street around 11:50 a.m. "The impact caused significant damage, resulting in additional telephone poles being affected and damage to other vehicles," the department said. The borough police and fire departments responded, as did the county's HazMat team and PSE&G. The roadway will be closed until PSEG crews can safely complete repairs.

Driver, 19, Killed In Route 80 Crash A 19-year-old driver was killed in an early-morning Route 80 crash when he rear-ended a box truck stopped in the shoulder, authorities said. Cameron Ray, of Flanders, was heading west in a Subrau when he rear-ended the truck near milepost 38.2 in Denville around 5:40 a.m., New Jersey State Police Sgt. Charles Marchan said. Ray died as a result of the crash while the box truck driver suffered minor injuries. The crash remains under investigation, and no additional information is available.
