: Authorities ID Man, 23, Gunned Down In Jersey City
A 23-year-old man was shot and killed Monday night in Jersey City. Emmanuel Garcia was found with multiple gunshot wounds to his body near Princeton Avenue and Brown Place around 11 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was rushed to the Jersey City Medical Center where he was pronounced deceased at 11:24 p.m., Suarez said. The cause and manner of death are pending the findings of the Regional Medical Examiner’s Office. The Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide Unit and the Jersey City Police Department are actively investigating this case. No arrests…

Authorities ID Boy, 16, Killed In Jersey City Shooting
A 16-year-old boy was killed in a Jersey City shooting Monday night, authorities said. Jersey City police responded to a report of shots fired in the vestibule of a building at 83 Bergen Ave., just after 10:30 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. A 17-year-old boy was shot and killed Sunday night, authorities said. Police responding to reports of shots fired near 116 MLK Dr., found Zaimier Bell with gunshot wounds to his upper body around 5:30 p.m., Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Authorities in Hudson County on Wednesday were seeking a motive and suspect behind Tuesday's fatal stabbing of a 29-year-old Bayonne man. Matthew Mortimer was stabbed just before 3:30 p.m., at 1095 Avenue C between 53rd and 54th streets, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. He was taken to Jersey City Medical Center with multiple stab wounds to his face and chest, initial reports say. Jersey City Man Gets Life In Prison For Killing Baby
A 29-year-old Jersey City man will spend the rest of his life in prison for beating an almost-2-year-old boy to death. Andrew Howard-French was sentenced Friday by Hudson County Superior Court Judge Patrick Arre to life in state prison for the 2018 murder of 23-month-old Bryce Sparrow, the Hudson County Prosecutor's Office announced. Authorities ID Jersey City Mom Who Died Hours After Infant
Both a newborn baby girl and her mom died after a home delivery in Jersey City over the weekend, authorities said. Sandra Provost, 41, gave birth to a baby girl who was pronounced dead at 33 Suburbia Ct. at 6:05 Saturday morning, Hudson County Prosecutor Esther Suarez said. Authorities late Tuesday finally were able to say conclusively that missing Paterson mother Shanaya Coley was the murder victim whose badly decomposed body was found over the weekend in the back seat of her car.
