A man who has been on the FBI's "Most Wanted" list for a 2009 armed robbery of a New Jersey restaurant has been captured in California. Kofi Edwards, 51, was arrested without incident in Sacramento, CA following a tip from the public, the FBI's Newark Central Jersey Safe Streets Task Force announced. A 7-Eleven worker in Hunterdon County was struck in the head while attempting to confront three men who had just committed an armed robbery, authorities say. Officers responding to the robbery report at the store on Route 202 in Raritan Township met with an employee who stated that a man had entered with two others and purchased items shortly before 8:55 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, Lt. The Flemington-Raritan First Aid and Rescue Squad responded to the Raritan Town Square complex near Lowe's in Raritan Township and found a car that barreled through the front of the building just before 6:30 a.m., the department said. Know anything? Police are seeking clues after a legendary elk statue that stands in front of a well-known charity lodge was vandalized with graffiti. Victim Flown To Hospital In Hunterdon County Crash, Police Say
One person was flown to a nearby hospital following a Monday afternoon crash in Hunterdon County, police confirmed. A vehicle struck the cement barrier in the middle of the road near 234 Route 202/31 northbound in Flemington around 3:40 p.m., Raritan Township police Lt. Scott Nelson said. The victim was taken by Northstar medical helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries, Nelson said.
