Port Authority PD: Con Man Chased Through Newark Airport Traffic
Drivers swerved to avoid an accused Florida con man chased by Port Authority police as he darted across several lanes of traffic at Newark Airport.
Andrew Mack, 58, climbed an embankment behind a nearby 7-Eleven, shed his jacket and bolted across traffic on the airport entrance bridge after he and another man tried to rent a car with a stolen credit card, the authority’s Joseph Pentangelo said.
Officers caught up with Mack and arrested him on a roadway adjacent to an FAA control tower about 10 minutes later, he said.
