E-Bike Operator Hospitalized With Head Trauma In Bergen County Crash The operator of an electric bicycle was hospitalized in an early-morning Fairview crash Thursday, June 20, police said. The man appears to have tried to pass a landscaping truck while heading west on Fairview Avenue when he was struck by an eastbound motorist around 7:40 a.m., Deputy Chief John Pierotti said. He was rushed to HMH Hackensack University Medical Center with head trauma, Pierotti said. The crash remains under investigation.

His injuries were later downgraded to non-life-threatening, responders said. Reports that an NJ TRANSIT bus was involved were wrong, authorities said.
